Master PINO CAPASSO began to teach professional ladies hairdressing in 1960.
His school has kept the same standards that have made it a success over the years. The success achieved is shown by the growing number of students and clients and has led to the opening of more shops.
The course is taught by qualified teachers and includes haircutting and blow drying demonstrations done by Pino Capasso's staff as well as by the Master himself.
The students do not work on wigs or prepared dummy heads, but on clients when they have reached the level of competence necessary to do it. Students are also taught theory with lessons on technique, sales, communication, and anything that can help them prepare for what will be the real work.
The professional training course lasts 11 months and includes mid-term examinations, carried out by an internal committee to assess the learning and preparation of the students and ends with a final test examined by a committee composed of the most qualified field names. Professionals participate both in practical and theoretical work for all courses, from basic to more advanced.
Courses start in different periods of the year. This is to give beginners the possibility to work alongside other students who are at a more advanced stage of preparation.
During the course and also after the exams, there are many job opportunities for new hair stylists, apprentices or not, because hair styling schools have now become a source of new staff for accomplished hairdressers who are looking for qualified personnel and job offers are constant even during the school year. In addition, each student, after a period of apprenticeship has the opportunity to start her or his own business, with a personal and financial reward.
The course is both theoretical and practical. It begins almost immediately to work directly on customers.
In a year time students go from apprenticeship to perfection. Some of the tasks that the student will actively address and learn there are:
- shampoo
- blow drying
- perming
- colouring
- streaks
- highlights
- haircutting
